Employment Opportunities at IMAU

The Inner Mongolia Agricultural University is always looking for exceptional talents to teach at our campuses.

We shall provide an acceptable accommodation for the employee during the span of the contract that encompasses the following:

1. An apartment consisting of a living room, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a small kitchen.

2. The employer will provide a computer to help the teacher with the task of preparing his class notes.

3. The employer shall pay water, gas, electricity and heating bills.

4. The employee will pay the telephone bill.

5. If the employee wishes to install the Internet, he will be responsible for any expenses accumulated from its use.

Salary

IMAU will pay the employee a monthly salary according to the following criteria:

1 - Native Oral English -----> To be discussed

2 - Writing Teacher ------> To be discussed

Benefits

IMAU will purchase accident insurance for the employee to cover the span of the contract.

IMAU will reimburse the employee for medical treatments expenses bearing in mind that they should not exceed 1000 Yuan (RMB) during the span of the contract.

IMAU shall reimburse the airfare from the teacher's residence to Hohhot and vice versa at the end of the contract. If the teacher leaves after half year, he/she will be reimbursed 50 % of the airfare.

Rights and Obligations

The teacher is entitled to 2 days off for Christmas and one for each of Thanksgiving and Easter feasts

The teacher shall be paid 11 monthly salaries during the span of the contract. Salary will be paid a t the end of each month.

The teacher must respect and abide by Chinese laws, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region rules and regulations pertinent to the engagement of foreign experts. He must comply with the university policies regarding the conduct of foreign teachers in the university and its community.

The teacher will use all skills and Western methods of teaching to fulfill him/her obligations stated in this contract.

The teacher must avoid any attempt to promote religious causes or political ideologies in classes.

The teacher will be assigned classes by different departments of the university under the following provisions:

1. The total working hours are compatible with salary.

2. An hour is allocated for each class including a pause/break for 10 minutes.

4. The teacher is encouraged to arrange extra-curricular activities that might enhance the students?learning experience.

5. It is essential that the teacher must grasp the fact that there is a wide gap of difference between the Western and the Chinese cultures.

Consultation and cooperation with other members of the university teaching community is advised and would be appreciated.
